We all have dreams. Some are lifelong ambitions, while others emerge through unexpected opportunities and experiences.
We pursue them with determination, hoping that achieving our goals will bring fulfillment and meaning.
But what if the greatest reward isn't found at the finish line?
What if the challenges we overcome, the relationships we build, and the people we become along the way are the real purpose behind the dream?
Through his personal story, Russell invites readers to look beyond what they're pursuing and consider what God may be doing in their lives through the journey.
A Life Shaped by Faith, Family & Purpose
For Russell, the journey has always been about more than professional accomplishments.
His love for music began as a young boy singing in his living room for pennies, eventually growing into a lifelong passion for teaching, leadership, and creating opportunities for others.
Alongside him throughout much of that journey has been his wife, Karen. Married for nearly five decades, they have navigated seasons of uncertainty, sacrifice, growth, and change together. Their family remains one of Russell's greatest sources of joy and meaning.
Through those experiences, Russell began to recognize that the most meaningful parts of life are not always measured by what we achieve.
Sometimes they are found in the relationships we build, the people we encourage, the challenges we overcome, and the ways God uses those experiences to shape us.
This perspective continues to influence Russell's writing and the stories shared through Unseen Things Publishing.
